The Petzl Duo is an outstanding low cost caving lamp. New Duos (5 LED version) are available online from £60UK and can be easily modified to helmet mounting 'fixo' specification. The Duo was designed specifically for caving, and consequently knocks the socks off even the best of the low cost, general purpose headlamps, on every level.
Well not quite! Sadly, whilst extremely robust and designed for the purpose, in their original form they lack the output of modern LED headlamps. However, with a simple upgrade you will have a far more versatile, high quality caving lamp than any of the low cost, high output headlamps that we have ever come across.
